Veteran BJP Leader LK Advani Admitted to Apollo Hospital Days After AIIMS Discharge

Veteran BJP leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Lal Krishna Advani was admitted to Apollo Hospital in Delhi on Wednesday night, just days after being discharged from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). The 96-year-old leader’s condition is reported to be stable, and he is currently under observation.

Advani, who was previously admitted to AIIMS for a night-long stay, was discharged on June 27. He was undergoing treatment in the urology department under the care of Dr. Amlesh Seth. The specific ailment for which he was being treated has not been disclosed.

Sources have confirmed that Advani is now under the care of Dr. Vinit Suri, a senior consultant in neurology. The hospital has assured that his condition is stable and he is being closely monitored3.

Advani, a prominent figure in Indian politics, has had a long and distinguished career. He served as the Home Minister and later as the Deputy Prime Minister in the cabinet of Atal Bihari Vajpayee from 1999 to 2004. He was also the longest-serving President of the BJP, holding the position from 1986 to 1990, 1993 to 1998, and 2004 to 20054.
