In an exciting announcement at the RGG Summit 2024, SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio revealed their latest addition to the beloved Yakuza series: Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii. This new action-adventure game is set to launch on February 28, 2025, and will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

What to Expect in Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza

The game features the return of the fan-favorite character, Goro Majima, known for his wild and unpredictable nature. This time, Majima finds himself washed ashore on a remote island near Hawaii, with no memory of his past. Teaming up with a young islander named Noah, Majima embarks on a thrilling quest to uncover his lost identity and navigate a world filled with pirates and treasure hunters.

“We’re excited to bring the Yakuza series to a new setting with ‘Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii,'” said Masayoshi Yokoyama, executive producer of the game. “Hawaii offers a unique and vibrant backdrop for our story, and we can’t wait for players to experience the adventure.”

Players can look forward to a rich narrative set against the backdrop of Hawaii’s tropical islands. The game promises a mix of high-seas adventure, intense combat, and a variety of mini-games. Majima will wield both his signature Mad Dog style and a new Sea Dog style, allowing for dynamic and pirate-themed combat.

The cast includes notable talents such as First Summer Uika, Kenji Matsuda, and Munetaka Aoki, bringing the vibrant characters to life. With its engaging storyline, diverse gameplay, and stunning visuals, Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii will become standout title in the Yakuza series.

Pre-orders are now available, and fans are eagerly awaiting more details as the release date approaches. Stay tuned for further updates on this highly anticipated game3.
