E-Visa Program: Japan Opens Up Easier Travel for Indian Tourists

e-visa

Great news for Indian travelers! Japan has launched a new e-Visa program, streamlining the application process for short-term tourism. This eliminates the need for physical visa stickers in passports, making trips to the Land of the Rising Sun smoother than ever.

Who Can Apply?

Indian citizens holding ordinary passports are eligible for the e-Visa program. The visa allows a single entry and a stay of up to 90 days in Japan, perfect for exploring bustling cities, soaking in serene landscapes, and experiencing Japan’s rich culture.

Applying for the E-Visa

The application process is designed to be user-friendly. Here’s a quick breakdown:

  1. Visit the Japan e-Visa Website: You’ll find the application portal through the Japan Visa Application Centres managed by VFS Global [search Japan e visa website].
  2. Choose Your Visa Type: Select “Temporary Visitor Visa” and carefully review the required documents.
  3. Fill Out the Application: Download and accurately complete the application form before printing it.
  4. Submit Your Application: Book an appointment to submit your application and required documents at a designated Visa Application Centre.

Once You Apply

After submitting your application, you’ll be notified of the processing outcome. If successful, you’ll receive an electronic visa instead of a traditional passport sticker. Upon arrival in Japan, simply display the “visa issuance notice” on your phone during check-in. This notice will include a barcode for easy access.

Embracing Easier Travel

The e-Visa program is a welcome change for Indian tourists, offering a quicker and more convenient way to explore Japan. With this new system in place, expect to see more Indian travelers embarking on unforgettable journeys to experience the wonders of Japan.

Remember that the e-Visa allows visitors to enter Japan for up to 90 days for tourism purposes. It’s a significant step toward making travel more convenient and efficient for Indian travelers.
