Actress Tabu Joins Star-Studded Cast of Dune Prequel Series ‘Prophecy’

The makers of the highly anticipated HBO Max series “Dune: Prophecy” have secured a casting coup with the addition of Bollywood superstar Tabu. The renowned Indian actress will play a recurring role in the show, which serves as a prequel to the blockbuster film “Dune.”

Originally titled “Dune: The Sisterhood,” the show draws inspiration from Brian Herbert and Kevin J Anderson’s novel “Sisterhood of Dune.” Set 10,000 years before Paul Atreides’ rise, the series follows two Harkonnen sisters as they shape the Bene Gesserit, a fabled sect that will play a crucial role in the future of humankind.

Tabu’s Character

Tabu is playing the role of Sister Francesca. Described as “strong, intelligent, and alluring,” Sister Francesca is sure to leave a lasting impression.
