Firing at Salman Khan’s Mumbai Home: Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Implicated

In a shocking incident early Sunday morning, two unidentified assailants on a motorcycle opened fire outside Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s residence in the upscale Bandra area. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, but the incident has raised concerns about security and the involvement of notorious gangsters.

The Incident

Around 5 a.m., the gunmen fired approximately four to five rounds at Khan’s house. The actor, who enjoys Y-plus category security cover, was present at home along with his family members during the incident. The police swiftly responded to the situation, and an alert was issued across Mumbai. Barriers were erected on key roads to apprehend the suspects.

Gangster Connection

Following the incident, Anmol Bishnoi, brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, took responsibility for the act on social media, terming it a “trailer” and issuing a veiled threat to the actor.

Later in the day, police sources identified one of the suspects captured on CCTV footage as Vishal alias “Kalu.” Vishal is a known shooter associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The gang has a history of targeting Salman Khan due to his alleged involvement in the 1998 blackbuck killing case in Rajasthan. Blackbucks hold religious significance for the Bishnoi community, and Lawrence Bishnoi has harbored animosity toward the actor ever since.

Threats to Salman Khan

Salman Khan had previously received threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi-Goldy Brar gang. The gang’s motive behind targeting the actor remains rooted in the blackbuck case. While the firing outside Khan’s house did not result in casualties, it appears to have been symbolic—a message meant to create panic and convey their warning1.

Ongoing Investigation

Deputy Commissioner of Police, Zone 9, Raj Tilak Roushan, assured the public that the police were actively investigating the matter. Fifteen police teams have been formed to probe the incident from all angles. The authorities remain determined to apprehend the shooters and prevent any further escalation1.

As the investigation unfolds, the city remains on edge, and security measures have been heightened around Salman Khan’s residence. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the challenges faced by celebrities and the need for robust security protocols in the entertainment industry.

Stay tuned for further updates as the investigation progresses.
