BRS MLA Lasya Nanditha Loses Life in Horrifying Road Accident

Lasya Nanditha

Hyderabad, India — In a heart-wrenching incident, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLA G Lasya Nanditha lost her life in a horrifying road accident in Sangareddy district, Telangana. The 37-year-old legislator from Secunderabad Cantonment was traveling in an SUV — a Maruti XL6 — on the Patancheru Outer Ring Road when tragedy struck.

The Fatal Crash

According to reports, the car’s driver lost control, causing the vehicle to collide with a divider. Both Nanditha and the driver sustained severe injuries. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, doctors pronounced Nanditha dead on arrival. The critically injured driver is currently undergoing medical treatment.

A Promising Political Career of Lasya Cut Short

Lasya Nanditha, born in 1986 in Hyderabad, had made her entry into politics nearly a decade ago. Before being elected as an MLA from the Secunderabad Cantonment in the 2023 Telangana Assembly polls, Nanditha served as a corporator in the Kavadiguda ward. Her constituency seat was previously held by her father, G Sayanna, who passed away earlier in 2023. Following his demise, Nanditha received the BRS nomination and emerged victorious in the assembly election.

Condolences Pour In

BRS supremo and former Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao expressed his condolences, assuring Nanditha’s family of all necessary support. Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy also mourned the legislator’s untimely death, stating, “The untimely death of Cantonment legislator Lasya Nandita left me deeply shocked. I had a close relationship with Nandita’s father Swargiya Sayanna. He passed away in the same month last year… It is very sad that Nandita also died suddenly in the same month. My deepest condolences to their family…I pray to God to rest her soul in peace.”

The tragic loss of Lasya Nanditha has left a void in Telangana’s political landscape, and her memory will be cherished by many.

Investigation Underway

Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident. The details surrounding the driver’s loss of control remain a focal point. As the state mourns the loss of a promising young leader, questions arise about road safety and the need for stricter measures to prevent such tragedies.

Our thoughts go out to Lasya Nanditha’s family, friends, and constituents during this difficult time. May she rest in peace.
