The Anantnag-Rajouri Lok Sabha constituency is set to go to polls in the third phase on May 7. As the investigation unfolds, the loss of Raju Shah serves as a grim reminder of the challenges faced by migrant workers in conflict-affected regions.
This incident marks the latest in a string of attacks targeting migrant workers in Jammu and Kashmir this year. Just a week prior, a resident from Dehradun was shot in south Kashmir’s Herpora.
