The charismatic leader, known for her fiery speeches and unwavering commitment to her political party, sustained a minor injury after slipping and falling inside the aircraft.

The incident occurred as Chief Minister Banerjee ascended the movable stairs leading to the helicopter. Just moments before taking her seat, she lost her footing and fell. Fortunately, her security personnel were quick to assist her. Despite the mishap, Banerjee displayed remarkable resilience and continued with her scheduled trip to Asansol.
Previous Health Incidents of Mamata Banerjee
This is not the first time Mamata Banerjee has faced health challenges related to helicopter travel. In June 2023, her helicopter was forced to make an emergency landing at Sevoke airbase near Siliguri due to adverse weather conditions. During that incident, she sustained ligament injuries to her left knee joint and left hip joint. Earlier, in May, she was hospitalized after injuring herself in a fall near her home in Kolkata, with blood streaming down her face from a deep cut on her forehead.
